In the Ecstatic Dance DJ and Facilitator training, participants will embark on a transformative journey to deepen their understanding of the profound connection between music, movement, and consciousness. Here’s what they can expect to learn:
Foundations of Ecstatic Dance: Participants will delve into the philosophy of ecstatic dance, exploring its roots in ancient rituals and its modern-day significance as a vehicle for personal and collective transformation.
Music Curation: Through hands-on workshops and immersive experiences, participants will learn the art of crafting dynamic and diverse playlists that guide dancers on a journey of exploration and self-discovery. They will gain insights into the principles of musical flow, energy dynamics, and creating seamless transitions between tracks.
Facilitation Skills: Participants will develop the essential skills needed to facilitate a safe and inclusive dance space. This includes mastering the art of holding sacred space, cultivating presence and authenticity as a facilitator, and honing the ability to read and respond to the energy of the group.
Body Awareness and Movement Practices: Participants will explore various movement modalities, including somatic practices, breathwork, and embodiment techniques, to deepen their connection with their bodies and unlock new levels of expression and freedom on the dance floor.
DJ Skills: Participants will delve into the art of DJing, mastering fundamental skills such as beatmatching, song selection, and creating seamless transitions between tracks. Through hands-on practice and guidance, they’ll learn to craft dynamic playlists that guide dancers on a journey of exploration and self-discovery.
Overview of the training
MOdule 1
DJ software
We will cover how to set up and use software such as Traktor, Rekordbox and Serato. We will also discuss DJ equipment, what to buy, and the benefits and pitfalls of each software and equipment. At the end of this module, you will know how to use your software and hardware of choice.

Module 2
DJ'ing Skills
This is when you will get to learn the practical skills of DJ'ing. With the step-by-step method, you will get it quickly and get plenty of practice. We will also provide feedback on your first mix.

MOdule 3
Music Discovery and Planning
Where and how do you discover new music? How do you create an ecstatic mindful journey and wave that move the client from beginning - to the middle to end?

Module 4
Facilitation skills
We will teach you. How to create a safe space. How to help people get in their bodies, stay grounded and enjoy a more accessible expression.

Community building
Having the skills to DJ is one thing. Getting a dance set up and creating a community feel is another. In this module, you will learn how to create a set setting that allows people to connect before, during, and after.

Launching and growing
Now you have a dance set up and friends joining, but how do you grow it?
We will teach you how to use different marketing tools to grow your dance.

Immersed in the pulsating rhythms of life, I am Thomas, a passionate Ecstatic Dance DJ (trained at the London Sound Academy) and Facilitator. With a heart tuned to the beat of the universe, I’ve devoted myself to creating transformative experiences through movement and music.

The cost for the entire training £749.
This includes unlimited access to the online content.
One to one support, feedback on. your DJ mix, and community calls.
At the end you will be ready to start your own dance and DJ with confidence.
It will be a mixture of online live calls and pre-recorded tutorials.
First you watch some pre-recorded videos and then we have live calls to demonstrate and answer questions.
There will also be a mix sharing where you get to share your mix and get feedback from everyone if you wish.
At the end you will get to host an ecstatic dance for the group.
